/me hopes for more storage improvements.
i also hope for improvements, but i dont think arenanet will, otherwise they would have had them instead of a more or less usless material tab.

i belive that, if they could have added better overall storage they would have, instead of adding material storage, and still having the problem they had beforer (hence twice the work).

I like this idea a lot. A few suggestions though:

make the dye-vault a shared storage like all else.
make the key-ring an upgrade for your belt pouch.
character based storage would be nice for quest items (although you need to bring them with you on quests... so why store them?), armor and holiday masks. The rest is fine in a shared storage.

A guild storage would also be a nice idea Where was that thread again...

Farming/knowing you are not going to the quest area, thus no point taking up a backpack slot.

Farming quest items? For selling them to people too lazy to do the quest? (Althea's ashes? lost son's letter?) Not something Anet will approve of, so don't expect storage for quest items.
Not going to the quest area? Doing the quest later? Well, tough. Like you're gonna accept 50 quests that require you to carry an item and not finishing any of them. Don't take the quest then or abandon it.
(PS: Anet: stacking the elonian mirrors would be nice though)

I meant when farming an area for drops you dont want to have quest items in your pack, taking up slots that useful dropscould be stored in.

I also take every quest when i get into a new town, and usally very rarely finish them, i dislike abandoning quests, as then i forget where i recived them, in that instance, a quest tab would be very useful.

Well, the I'd suggest another upgrade rune for your bags, so you get more general storage, because what's the point of a quest item storage when there are only so many quest items, and when finished with the quest you'll be left with useless storage space...

quest item storage = kinda useless imo.

What i want to know is how come we can store more in our invisible backpacks then the storage agents can in their GIANT chest?

I'd be happy if they just added dyes to the material tab, but I can't say I wouldn't be thrilled to see everything the OP put together.

Here's my idea for guild vault storage. Please read the text in the image carefully, as it explains everything you will see.

Damn..you put a lot of thought into this. I'm liking what I see, and although the storage update we had was nice, there is always room for improvement. Armor storage would be nice. My monk has too much armor -_-

Keys and dyes are great ideas for extra storage, so would weapons and/or armour. But why in gods name are people wanting Rune storage?! The most i ever have is a Major Vigour that i'm saving to put on my new character.

Thumbs down

The key ring idea is the best and only storage upgrade I would like to see. Placed on the character, not in the storage box, with a limit of 10 of each key.
(Most chest runs get you 3-5 chests, so 10 should be more than enough)

The only reason I don't want to see upgraded storage is because of hoarding. Prices for items are already out of balance. With the mass farming going on in the game, I can see a people hoarding the most popular items to sell them for outrageously inflated prices down the road.
I love to see inventory blowouts, as it lets new and middle experienced players get their hands on weapon/items that they would not be able to afford otherwise. With extra storage, this will all but cease to exist and the blowout prices would likely increase also.
Extra storage is a bad idea.

It's a really nice idea, but i don't think there needs to be personal storage. Each character has slots and thats definately enough. I do like the organization ideas though, like keychains/dyes. And OMG, a storage tab just for ruins??? hmmm maybe GW could start up an in-game-real-estate biz for all the pack-rats of the game! We could all own houses and fill them with crap :P

Nice ideas, but to implement something like the two suggestions here would take a lot of server space, and of bandwith only to sync it everytime someone accesses the vault.

Also, i don't think they'll increase the materials to more than 250 items, since 250 has the nice property that it's smaller than 255 which means 1 material storage slot = 1 byte of serverspace per account.

I also doubt we'll see (m)any further storage enhancements, since with buyable char slots, anet is probably gonna get quite some money for mule chars

Let's see. Key ring, runes, dyes, quest items. That's at least four more expansions.

great idea we all want more storage dont think its going to happen thanks for the pic the idea that server space is not that real becues your only talking about only a verry small amount of real storage space if they charged a fee of 10.00 per tab or something like that they could make enough to cover the cost of dev and storage

This is some great work, I would LOVE to see this, as well as an Armor/Headgear closet...

Not sure about rune storage, or a keyring in the vault (however, a keyring inside the belt pouch, as someone else suggested...) I like the dye storage locker though.

Its too bad that ANet will just write this idea off and do something half baked.

Good ideas, id like to see a dye and key storage and maybe an armor storage (my monk has four sets, and I use them all, im not a pack rat), and maybe not have a rune storage but just make runes stackable since i only keep vigor and attunement runes atm
